Bought a 43” TCL 4K with Roku with 4year warranty at Costco. $199
I tried getting it online, but their servers were slow and giving errors.
It was that or the Vizio and Vizio doesn’t update their software.

I bought absolutely nothing online or in a store, but I made money at work. I like it this way.

I was in NYC for Thanksgiving with my kids, so I bought some cold weather clothes at Uniqlo and a variety of stuff at Muji. Have to get it when I can get it. Got in and out before the crowds got bad. Comparatively few shop before noon in NYC, in my experience.
(Comparatively in NYC means less people than live in my town on a single block on lower Broadway)

Didn't see any BF deals on-line for gasoline, so i just went out and filled the tank locally.

I bought my sister an $18 Roku device, Hulu for $2/month, some dishwasher cleaner, a label maker and some extra tapes, 50# of bird food, a couple 2"x27' ratchet straps and that's about it.

I got 100% discount by leaving the stuff on the shelf.

I bought a lot but it was very easy.

We fought the Walmart crowds for the $38 wire shelves and $12 LED shop lights. Got there 15 min before the Thanksgiving sale started. Stood by the shelves/lights with 3 other people who were there for the same things. At 5:58 I put 2 shelves in the cart and my wife put 4 lights in the cart. Checked out at the garden center and we were out of the store at 6:10.

On Thanksgiving I went to Home Depot; got there at 5:59. At 6:00 they opened the front and back doors so I went in the back. Bought a variety of things I didn't need but the 4 poinsettias and pack of batteries that I always get. Also bought 14 clear storage containers; we're going to redo the storage in our basement with big wire shelves when Costco puts them on sale and we're just getting ready for that.

Then I bought a number of things on Amazon through the evening as I got various emails about the "best" Black Friday things available. I had bought a web-based garage door opener a couple of months ago, I think for about $30. They had it for $18 so I bought another for the other door. I bought a 5" Echo Show purely to allow my wife to see who's at the front door from her craft room. We've been using an iPhone 4s with the Ring app for that but it takes too long for the app to load and get to it. The Show in the kitchen is much faster so I bought one for the back room. So, we'll sell the 4s for $35 and I bought the Show for $50. It's a good trade. I also bought an Amazon Smart Plug for $5 because it was $5. We've hooked up 4 smart plugs to Christmas lights and really like having Alexa turn them on and off on command. I also bought the Brother printer for $40 because I wanted a spare in the closet. Then I bought 5 Wyze $5 lights to put in the breakfast room and program to be on/off through the day so it looks like we're here.

A lot of stuff but nothing like the old days when the crowds rushed into the stores at 5am when they opened and people beat each other up.

I wrote the check for my 2020 property taxes (mail on Monday)....

Not Black Friday but on Turkeyday I grabbed an iPhone 11 for $400 off via Verizon online. The big draw was that I could keep my existing line. Should be quite a jump from my current iPhone 6.

We pay our property taxes here in California on their website. Makes it real easy. As long as you have the PIN # on the bill

I totally blasted my amazon cart with HomeKit stuff and even some coffee cups, but didn’t check out.
Take that Bezos!!
