After 5 years, the time has come to announce my retirement as "The Celebration Fairy". I will finish January 2020 with 2 additional birthdays, but someone new must take over the helm for the first birthday starting on 2/5/2020 (assuming that person signs up again -- see below). That provides a couple of weeks to sort out the new Fairy.

It has been an honor serving as your "The Celebration Fairy". In fairy time, those five years have passed by so fast that it only feels like 4 years and 364 days. During that time, I have posted almost 1100 cake pictures, almost 20 booze pictures, a half-dozen ice cream pictures, almost 70 anniversary GIFs, over 300 birthday GIFs, and a handful of other USA Independence and remembrance pictures.

If you are interested, contact the "mrp-admin" to reset the password and email assigned to "The Celebration Fairy" account to take over the duties. As I stated above, I will post the final two birthdays in January, so the new Fairy's duties will start 2/1/2020. Hopefully they are not reset prior to 2/1 so I can finish the remaining January birthdays.

As the first duty, I suggest posting a poll to see if the celebrations should continue and then asking for new Private Messages to build a new birthday and anniversary list. I can provide the old list, but I believe that there are people who no longer post regularly that are on it -- which is why I suggest starting the next generation of lists. The current list has 82 total celebrations; 15 anniversaries, 66 birthdays, and forum remembrance day on 7/16. The current list was started when I became The Celebration Fairy -- with a few additions over the 5-year period.

I would hope a "younger" Fairy would take over the responsibilities, so they, too, can have many years of satisfaction in doing it. The average age of those that shared their age on the existing list is 61 years young as of 2020. This fairy is about to start collecting "Fairy Security".

I would like to apologize if I offended anyone with cake fail pictures, but you were warned that not providing flavor, color, etc., details would result in the selection of pictures of my choice. Hopefully, all in good fun. In the words of Stan Lee, "Excelsior!". I still don't understand why the Tooth Fairy got his own movie, but I never got one of my own…

I feel it is an important element of this community. I try real hard to acknowledge everyone's important date. If I'm away, I still try to check in so hopefully I don't miss anyone. Speaking as someone who still remembers third grade, and not getting a Valentines Day Card from anyone while I made one for each classmate, I don't want anyone left out.
I hope someone takes over the reigns of the CF. Unfortunately it is way beyond the technical abilities of me to do this, I still haven't figured out how to even post a picture here, LOL.
