Looking for an inexpensive layout program - that will work with High Sierra on a mac with just 14gb of RAM. Experiences?

affinity publisher will work all the way back to 10.9 -- $50

14 GB of ram? seems... impossible? But way more than enough ram to run it.

I'm guessing a Mac with 4 RAM slots could get you there.

2,2,2,8=14
4,4,4,2=14
2,4,8,0=14

I've used Swift Publisher, it works decently for a low-cost program ($19.99).

Having said that, lately I've found myself using Apple's Pages. It does what I need it to do, I use it to create newsletters for the various organizations that I help.

And it is free.

Swift Publisher is a great easy-to-use program. My wife (a tech savvy, but non designer type) uses it to great extent and is very happy with it.

I have the Affinity Apps, and while they are great, some of the paradigms may not be as simple and straightforward as Swift. Apple's Pages is also super easy to use.

I'm a decent InDesign user, and Quark before that, but I meed something that the kids and I can both use (teens) and my versions of the pro stuff is so old that I can't use it on this machine. Thanks for the insights.

And Pages won't work with High Sierra, at least on an older machine like mine.

The kids could just use google docs. Mine do, seems to be more than adequate for school work...
