Was watching a American Greed and the bad guy kept his financial info on Quick Books. He went in the program and changed figures for the IRS lawsuit. The IRS went into his QB program and the changes and dates of the changes in figures was recorded in the program! so the guy was convicted.

I didn't realize that fact. I suppose the same thing goes with tax software etc. The information I guess is not visible unless you get into the programming.

So the bad guy tried to turn Quick Books into Cook Books?

I believe Quicken has a similar feature. You can view whether an entry was modified or not and, I would guess (because it's not in front of me right now), when.

If they said you had to get into the "programming" of the app to get the details, they don't have a clue what they're talking about.
