So, do they MAKE a car stereo with a hard-drive in it yet?

I'm looking at the AM/FM CD stereo in my Silverado and thinking, man, a nice 60 gig laptop drive'd fit in there no problem ... Couple a thousand Mp3s ... etc?

Anyone know?

Yes, they've made those for a while now.

Been a few months, but unless prices have come down, I believe a Mac Mini would be cheaper... ridiculously high priced.

Yup, they're ridiculously priced compared to buying an iPod and getting an iPod to stereo interface. Also, the iPod is way easier to synch with your computer.

Thank you for paying attention.

Of course, one wonders why he didn't just hit Google or something--after all, these things ARE available.

I'm waiting for someone to come in and ask how to boil water or make ice cubes.

One of my favorite Far Side cartoons ever.

And yeah, it's okay to ask a q that you don't google first. Maybe he also wanted to know what works well for users here...sheesh! ; )
