Just upgraded my Comcast service and 600 Mbps service. They gave me an very nice modem that supports 1000 Mbps and has great wifi. However, I'm thinking it's time to dump their rental service and grab myself a modem. Which brands and models should I be looking at? I do have a NETGEAR Smart WiFi Router that I'm currently not using but I'm pretty sure that the wifi speed was very good so I don't believe I need a modem with WiFi support.

No suggestions as I do not like the modem-router all-in-ones.

ftr, My modem is an Arris SB6190 & the router is a Linksys WRT3200ACM.
The SB6190 has a max speed of 1GB (port limit), 32 Download Channels and
8 Upload Channels. WRT3200ACM is simply put, a beast.

anyhoo, renting from comcrap is a losing proposition!
