Good quality wireless IP camera?

I'm trying to set up a live stream for people who want to attend a group gathering, but can't. I did this a few years back with a few phones, the IP camera app and OBS Studio. I was able to get a hardline for audio, and can this time too.

I want to use something more permanent than phones. Ideally I could find a wireless camera as running cables for this would be tough. It will be indoor, and I want good quality. I was looking at the Mevo, but apparently setting it up for RTMP is hard. Their docs actually say you can't send it to OBS.

It looks like the newer GoPros do RTMP, but again it's not easy to set up. There's an app that helps, but it's $600. At that point, I might as well just hire someone to run an HDMI cable through the walls.

I'll look into that, thanks. The camera doesn't even need storage.

I'm seriously considering the eufyCam 2 line

It's pricey at $350 for two cams and a base station, but they have some features of great interest to me:

•1080p Full HD: Live-stream and record footage in crystal clear 1080p HD, so you see exactly what is happening in and around your home.

•A Year’s Security from 1 Charge: Avoid frequent trips to charge the battery and enjoy 365-day battery life from just one charge.

•Zero Hidden Costs: Designed to protect your home as well as your wallet, eufyCam 2 is a one-time purchase that combines security with convenience.

•Advanced Night Vision: The state-of-the-art Sony sensor allows for detailed recordings and streaming in low-light scenarios.

•Ready for Any Weather: With an IP67 weatherproof-rating, eufyCam 2 is built to withstand the elements.

And – they do HomeKit.

Like I said, pricey, so more research is in order.

I'm not up on RTSP cameras, and the Wyze would need a hi-cap power brick, and I doubt it would last anywhere nearly as long.

But these are completely wireless, and that's huge for me.

One issue with Wyze is there is no desktop or browser option. It only streams through the Wyze App on phones or tablets. There may be hacks, but none are intuitive.

What about plain old facetime or Whatsapp?

Yep. That's why you need to swap the firmware so you can use the RTSP stream. Not hard but also not an out of the box solution.

I need a camera that serves the video as RTMP (not RTSP) so that OBS can pick it up. OBS can also tap into the audio feed.

One of the outputs of this might be Facebook live streaming. OBS will handle that. This will stream to a group of people, so using Facetime or Whatsapp isn't really an option.

Reolink has a line of security cameras that are supposed to work with RTMP. I have no experience doing it though.

Thanks. I wonder how the quality of "security cameras" stacks up to other types of cameras.

Yeah, I think most security cameras are repurposed cell phone cameras left behind after phones have moved up to better quality. Reolink has a tilt and pan for $140. You need to bump down to no-name to get zoom around that price.

There are 4K POE security cameras but they are usually sold in bundles. It's not typically an option to buy one and have it work without some sort of controller box.
