Whole Foods / Amazon grocery NOT delivered; Update: it did arrive, 3 hours late. Date: March 28, 2020 09:22AM |
ETA this morning. Doorstep delivery. Should I tip?
Total about $130. It I tip, is $10 OK??? more, less???
EDIT: I see Amazon already included tip, it was set at $7, I changed it to 10

Tip the minimum for now. After the delivery, decide if you want to tip more (or less).

As a rule of thumb, I tip 20-25 percent to servers, and 10 - 20 percent to take out and other non-traditional tipping, 2 bucks a bag to the porter, 5 bucks to valet- parking, random others I'm sure I'm not remembering now.

Guess what, Amazon said delivered, I didn't' get it. They checked GPS coordinates and it shows delivered 1/2 mile away. They said there is nothing they can do, they cannot contact the driver nor they can order a replacement. They will issue a refund.

We received someone else's shipment of a weeks worth of easy to prepare upscale meals, when we contacted the provider they told us to enjoy it and they'd reship to the original intended recipients.

Until recently, I had about a 50% chance of getting an Amazon delivery on time or accurately (delivered to me and not to a neighbor or neighboring community) using their own delivery service.
Some time before Xmas, things started improving and by February I was feeling very confident ordering from them.
...In the last month, they've lost more than 50% of my orders.

The driver could have had more than one delivery and marked the wrong order.
I recently saw an AMZ courier trying to deposit packages into an AMZ hub locker, and was having no luck.
A store employee put him on track. So to speak.
We received someone else's shipment of a weeks worth of easy to prepare upscale meals, when we contacted the provider they told us to enjoy it and they'd reship to the original intended recipients.
A class act, on both parts.
