Tip the minimum for now. After the delivery, decide if you want to tip more (or less).

As a rule of thumb, I tip 20-25 percent to servers, and 10 - 20 percent to take out and other non-traditional tipping, 2 bucks a bag to the porter, 5 bucks to valet- parking, random others I'm sure I'm not remembering now.

It use to be 15% percent was considered a decent tip. What changed?

Something I don't get is why a tip is even a percentage. This means that server in a fancy restaurant makes a lot more money than someone who works in a place that the common man eats (and works) at. Why?

If someone orders a $100 bottle of wine, should the server get $20-25 for 5 minutes of work?

Guess what, Amazon said delivered, I didn't' get it. They checked GPS coordinates and it shows delivered 1/2 mile away. They said there is nothing they can do, they cannot contact the driver nor they can order a replacement. They will issue a refund.

We received someone else's shipment of a weeks worth of easy to prepare upscale meals, when we contacted the provider they told us to enjoy it and they'd reship to the original intended recipients.

Until recently, I had about a 50% chance of getting an Amazon delivery on time or accurately (delivered to me and not to a neighbor or neighboring community) using their own delivery service.

Some time before Xmas, things started improving and by February I was feeling very confident ordering from them.

...In the last month, they've lost more than 50% of my orders.

Well, son of a gun, the drive just dropped off the items about 45 min ago. 3 hours AFTER they said delivered. I just spent 45 min cleaning and disinfection stuff. I am no chat with Amazon so they can cancel the refund.

It can be easier and quicker for a driver to scan everything at once then deliver it later

Just sayin'.

The driver could have had more than one delivery and marked the wrong order.

I recently saw an AMZ courier trying to deposit packages into an AMZ hub locker, and was having no luck.

A store employee put him on track. So to speak.

A class act, on both parts.

No, when the delivery windows closed and Amazon emailed me that order was delivered, what options did I have? They even confirmed it was 'delivered" 1/2 mile away. They already issued the refund.

When I did get the order, I gave the driver tip in CASH and then I went online and did chat with Amazon again and told them I got the order and refund is no longer needed. They didn't seem to care.

I ordered from Whole Foods this morning, and it took me about 30 minutes to do the check out. The first checkout failed to process to the end, and I had to refresh the checkout several times in order to get a stable delivery time window to show again. The delivery time windows kept appearing and disappearing. Finally got an order through at 11:30 AM for a 2-4 PM delivery window. The groceries arrived at 2:03 PM, but about 1/3 of the items I ordered were out of stock.
