Afternoon nap on the hill behind my house...it was glorious!

Fortunate to almost back up against open space and walked up on the hill above my house for an afternoon nap in the grass today. It was fantastic! A nice little reprieve from the insanity and a reminder that, at least from there, the world looks pretty good.

Highly recommend getting out into the sun if you do so safely and responsibly.

We're about 6 or 7 miles inland from Muir beach (though I did grow up very close to it in a little hippie shack)

Good thing some farmer didn’t mow the hill right then.

Saint Cloud, Minnesota, where the weather is wonderful even when it isn't.

I was out on the other side of the baythis afternoon looking the opposite direction...
Mt Tam to the left. Bo's house a bit further to the right.

"In science it often happens that scientists say, 'You know that's a really good argument; my position is mistaken,' and then they would actually change their minds and you never hear that old view from them again. They really do it. It doesn't happen as often as it should, because scientists are human and change is sometimes painful. But it happens every day. I cannot recall the last time something like that happened in politics or religion." (1987) -- Carl Sagan

Thanks for those photos. It's a nice reprieve from all of the SARS-CoV-2 news.

Nice...we've got the bay covered!

Instead of a nap, today will include a bike ride (then perhaps a nap).
