High here, but it is like a 1.5% chance of dying from an infection.
If you had some other disease and the doctor told you you had a 1.5% chance of dying, I don’t think anyone would think that was high.

I don't think they are calculating numbers very well. Getting down to my ideal weight and taking 30 years off my age cuts my chance of dying by 99%.

Yikes. My result is generally similar to Speedy's, though my numbers aren't the same.

Where I think the website is really off is that it says my chance of catching it is about 55%, but... I've been strictly self-isolating at home and not going out of doors for ANY length of time (no human contact, basically only going out to dump trash or bring packages in, and I'm "quarantining" any packages for three days). So... I truly don't see how I could have that high a chance of catching it, unless I'm forced to leave the house.

As they say, an ounce of prevention...

I am surprised that my infection probability was not higher, as I have been taking an immunosuppressant for 5 weeks. My probability was 58%, with a 98.3% chance of survival.

Frankly, I am much more worried about the possibility of having a significant Crohn's flare during this period and not being able to get the hospital care I need. I'm being more vigilant about my diet than ever during this time, which is easy since we're pretty much eagling everything at home these days.

You might need to enter the trade name instead of the generic one. For me, it did not list hydrocortisone but did list Cortef.

Thanks. That did the trick. It didn't change the outcome, however.
On the other hand, Waitin4CJ/my husband's risk was greater than mine! He was 70% catching and 5% dying from it. But I'M the one with the compromised immune system and scarred lungs! (Although I didn't check the box for Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease. Mine's not "obstructive," I don't think. Just scarred.)
