Need to light an under stair litter box area for when I have to scoop the poop.
I have a couple AAA dinky ones from about 5 years ago.
Changing and cleaning batts and pads sucks.
Don't care if the recharge is USB or 120v.

How about an LED Lantern? Just hang them from a hook or put a piece of metal up for magnetic mount. I have a couple and they are very useful

Battery-powered LEDs are not what they used to be - they're bright as heck now, and for intermittent use, the batteries will last forever.

I have a couple of them AA lanterns. They are OK. But I'm tired of tossing batts on the landfill. And the batt compartments get funked up.
The light from what I have is bright with new batts and they last a while.
Gonna check into the USB or other rechargeable type.

Bought these for my wife’s closet and have been very happy. Motion sensors or switch, usb rechargeable, magnetic attachment and long battery life. Haven’t had to charge them in two months

Maybe a little less than 60w equivalent per unit. I have all three in her closet (to the left, right and above the door) and they light it up pretty well all together.

Three modes:

Night mode: automatically goes on when it gets dark and stays on until it gets light

Day mode: automatically goes on when it detects movement regardless of it being light or dark (then goes off after 20 seconds of no movement)

Always on mode: just stays on until you turn it off

Usually free with one of their coupons. But for Gawds sake, immediately get rid of the Chinese leak-o-matic carbon zinc batteries in them and use decent alkalines. Should last a couple of years if just for scooping time.

I've got alka in the ones I have now. I'm tired of batts.
Since everything I work on has gone rechargeable, I try not to bother with batts at home neither.
No more "used" freebes :-(

What is that?

The only thing I have against built-in batteries, is when they die, the device is usually dead.

That, and when the batteries run down, the device is out of service until recharged.

I guess if it lasts a couple years before going T/U, one get their money's worth.

That is a slick light though.

No idea at all. Mine did not come with any additional batteries beyond the built in ones.

Seems like a mistake in the Amazon description
