I missed the whole show; what song did she sing?

Christina has an incredible voice; I'm no fan of the @#$%&-pop style but damn that girl can sing.

Whoa! i've never thought much of her. have always lumped her in with B Spears. but you're right, she nailed that last night!

i'm not sure of the proper title of the song she sang. might have been along the lines of "I'm a man" or "It takes a Man" something like that. it's an old james brown song.

She's a very good singer. I just get sick of all the fancy trills or vocal inflections or whatever they are called that she insists on using almost constantly. But underneath all that folderol are indeed some great pipes.

My opinion exactly. She tried a little too hard last night, but she essentially nailed it.

Yeah..Mary J Blige stole the show in my opinion. She is earnest and her voice and delivery, incredibly heartful and respects the song.. It was cool to see her with a huge band/orchestra.

I heard Christina was good, didn't see it...i usually want to go hide when she destroys a song a with her overstylized @#$%&. Normally, a total waste of an incredible voice.

I thought the Police STUNK...Im so sick of hearing Roxanne, it's torture at this point..so many Sting re-work versions of that song floating around and most of them lame. IMO that song has not stood the test of time.

Oh yeah..Shakira...this girl has so much talent...songwriter (pop but whatever, some good stuff that reaches out a little further), producer, brains of her operation, dancer, tummy, attitude (sometimes over the top), one of the most unusual voices around and when she uses it right it's an amazing instrument.

She entertained me last night. I wish she would get a little more serious about writing geat songs but I'll take her eye candy any day.. she's hot.

In a recent radio interview, someone asked Sting how many times he has performed "Roxanne" in his career. He replied "Too Many"

Well, it will be a toss up whether he or Wayne Newton offs himself first for singing the same song 1 too many times.

I love "Roxanne." The song The Police played last night was not "Roxanne."

Aguilera might have been in Spears' category when she was four.

But she's long been a real talent, despite the added musical gymnastics and piercings.

She nailed that song. I can totally she her being in that zone and not "trying" one bit.

She can belt out a song without it feeling strained and from the throat. I wish she'd just keep it a little simpler.

She was the only thing I liked about the Grammys and made the show for me.

what about the commercials?

I got up and made delicious cc cookies and a warm cider with calvados, and a spot of buttered maple syrup. mmmmmmmmm that's livin'!

Although maybe not living like Christina.

actually, I also quite enjoyed Corinne, Legend and Mayer, especially the latter.

so far I've yet to buy a CD of any of the aforementioned, but at least there were a few good showings.
