Moist wipes advertised as being "flushable" should NOT be flushed down the toilet. They WILL clog / damage sewers / septic systems LONG before they ever "biodegrade".

At least among widely available US brands, I find Cottonelle most suitable and efficient for the task. I then detail the area with a flushable wipe—which I do not flush, but put into an airtight container for disposal.

Presto large rolls from Amazon, before that Scott's. We have half a case so hopefully that will last until stocks are back in stores or bidets are back to reasonable prices (though I'm not sure the wife will like it)

Anyone remember hard toilet paper? Unpleasant, to say the least.

Charmin ultrasoft and Costco house brand wipes was the routine.
Edit: just got back from Costco. Went to two different stores on two different days. My local Costco has cashiers wipe the front plexi AFTER each customer. I was like WTFudge, this is going to suck. People aren’t coughing or touching it.

Yes, and I miss it greatly. White toilet paper just seems crude and unimaginative.

Before it went "Septic Safe" and lost all resistance to punch-through I was a dedicated Scott 1000 sheets per roll man, and I'd buy the colored variety... Blue/Green if they had it, but Pink/Orange was okay if B/G was sold out.

I used Cottonelle for a while after giving up on Scott, then on a lark tried the Piggly Wiggly store brand of 1K s.p.r. and found it to be much more like the old Scott than the new Scott was and cheaper too, so it became my new "Go To".

Yeah, flushable pre-moistened is an oxymoron. A regional sewage treatment plant got a spike of these after TP shelves were emptied and they said to please never flush them.

Bidet with dryer.

"In science it often happens that scientists say, 'You know that's a really good argument; my position is mistaken,' and then they would actually change their minds and you never hear that old view from them again. They really do it. It doesn't happen as often as it should, because scientists are human and change is sometimes painful. But it happens every day. I cannot recall the last time something like that happened in politics or religion." (1987) -- Carl Sagan

Costco Kirkland brand. Just because it's cheaper and seems fine. I've never experimented with different types so I have little to compare it to. I've always figured my wife can determine what we use since she uses it more frequently and she's never complained about Costco.

"Go To", as in if they have it in stock I go right to it and grab a pack without paying attention to any other brands.

I prefer Angel Soft. I like the mega rolls just because I don't have to change them as often.

Have you noticed how narrow the rolls of all toilet paper have become? There's almost two inches of unused space on my dispenser these days.

Anybody remember colored toilet paper?

Sure.

Anybody remember scented toilet paper? I hated that stuff. What's worse is there was a women's perfume that used the exact same scent. Why any woman would want to smell like toilet paper is beyond me.

....yes....another victim of the companies 'shrinking' packaging but keeping prices the same.....they do their best to make it look like it hasn't 'shrunk'.......no more half gallon ice cream containers......
