Tesla seems to be doing fine. Cars are ordered online, delivered with paperwork inside to sign at pickup/dropoff.

It's a little different when you're fulfilling a couple years of backorders.....

For Model Y maybe, but I believe Model 3 is caught up. Last I heard, people were placing orders and taking delivery in 1-3 weeks.

You are correct. Delivery times of 1-3 weeks on Model 3 (slightly longer if you order the "absolute no frills base model"). The Model X and Model S are running about the same (last I read). The Model Y is catching up, since it's still new... I think it's about 3 months from order to delivery? That may have been an estimate from before they were shipping, though.

Dividends should be suspended prior to any pay or bonus cuts, layoffs, furloughs, etc. After ceasing dividends, Board and C-Suite compensation should be adjusted before any other steps. Won't happen, but that's what should happen.

Some companies will layoff, furlough or cut pay of the wrong people, only to see them not return when they need them.

The most successful companies have the priority of employees first, customers second, and shareholders last. Companies that do this tend have very loyal employees who work better and harder, which ultimately benefits customers and shareholders.

You could cut C level salaries to zero and it isn't going to make any meaningful difference in a Fortune 500 company financial report. They have 165,000 employees. If you cut 1.65 Million every 2 weeks in executive salary you would give everyone else $10 a paycheck extra or it could save 10 Engineers jobs, or 20 factory worker jobs.

CEO Barra will open another factory in PRC before doing anything to help American workers.

I understand. All I was pointing out was the order in which cost cutting should be done.
