With skiing out of the question and much of our garden prep done, we turned to biking for maintaining sanity this week. We've done about 100 miles, thanks to some electron assist for steeper hills. We are very fortunate to have such a beautiful location so near home.

Awesome! What kind of electric bike is that?

Color me jealous.
I ordered an electric trike just before all this hit the fan. I'm still awaiting shipment/delivery from China. At least the shipment is on the water now. I hope to have it delivered here in VA by the end of this month.

That is the RadRover from Rad Power Bikes out of Seattle. We also have a RadCity. Today's ride was 18 miles and used about 1/3 of my battery charge. I find 40-50 miles per charge is reasonable for what I do. We have had the Rads for about 18 months now.

Very jealous. Don't have that kind of scenery where I am, and busy roads scare me. I'm in a rythym riding indoors, so I have only ridden outside a couple times. Not so eager to get out onto crowded trails.

I got out and did just over 30 miles of trails today myself. We were likely in the same vicinity. Rode from home up into Fairfax, skirted tamarancho, over pine mtn, above Kent lake, Paradigm then dropped to san Geronimo and back up to the ridge and down to Fairfax. Beautiful out there!

Yup. Started at Marinwood Community Center, did Lucas Valley Road, north through Nicasio, then west to Platform Bridge Road and back on the Cross Marin Trail and then back to Lucas Valley. Saw lots of Ferraris out. Was that George Lucas and friends emanating from Skywalker Ranch?

Rad is based just a couple of miles from me. There are a number of big e-bike companies here.

Rad was my first consideration, but they don't (as of now) offer a trike, which I want for stability.

Typical e-bikes are 50-60 pounds so if you are not comfortable controlling that weight when stopped, a trike is a good move...
