dang. What a beautiful machine. We're upgrading her from a 2012 MBA 13" so it'll be fun to see what the speed differences will be.
First things I'm noticing about it:
- love the newly designed keyboard feel
- speakers sound like Bose. Serious dynamic range
8Gb RAM, 256Gb SSD. $949 plus $65 tax on Amazon.
The onions came as a free upgrade.

still planning on getting 2 of these for the kids at Xmas -- but the next step up with the quad core i5 and 512 GB storage. Hopefully they will have refurbs. =) Although the $1221 price mentioned in another post aint too bad... hoping they will last 5-7 years and get them thru college. They have 2012 MBPs now... thats 8 years...

Note: I'd completely forgotten about the hub that all of these new awesome units require, now that they've ripped out all ports except 2 of the new USB-C ports. (both on one side...).
I actually don't mind when they improve ports, and it's actually kind of cool that there's only one hub needed now to plug in ones extra monitor, Time Machine, 4 external USB devices, and even allow you to charge the MBA via the hub.
We went with this off-brand UEASOO unit for $39 on Amazon.

My partner has been using a new 2020 MBA for a couple weeks now (we got the i5 processor, 16GB RAM, and the 512GB storage). In our case, the upgrade was from a white MacBook 6,1 - so, quite a change!
It's a wonderful machine so far. Enjoy!!

2012 13" MBPs here. The only "port" ever used is the power. Rest are useless.
