Id say TV size was dictated by budget, but meh. 55" smart 4K were $250 last year xmas time.
Largest in our house is 43". We had a 55" outside... but screen got hit with a rock from the gardner. Now rocking an old 1080p 42". Really would like another 55"... but want a deal.
