Falcon 9, Dragon 2, and Crew are GO at T-00:12:00

Last weather "Go/No Go" is at T-7minutes.... looking good.
1st stage fuel loading proceeding.

I haven't been this nervous watching a launch since I was in 5h grade, watching Columbia's first launch on TV!

We're about 9 hours from docking with the ISS.

They'll be doing some "orbit tune ups" over the next few hours to circularize their orbit, and match altitude with the ISS.

Then will come docking with the ISS.

I'm re-downloading ISS Spotter from the App Store.

I used it before to see the ISS pass overhead.

It was almost as thrilling as watching a launch.

Really sad I missed this one.

I almost missed it... I miscalculated the time zone, but I tuned in at T-3minutes. So, saw them launch!


WOW! AMAZING!


I have been watching the feed from SpaceX.com in background on computer.

The HD views from Dragon of earth are phenomenal. Looks great!

The inside cabin video during ascent showed a really smooth ride - no shaking. Soyez videos also show a smooth ride. The few shuttle cabin videos I have seen showed a rougher ride.

The one and only "test flight" of the Ares I rockeet (basically a five segment SRB), the post flight analysis showed that the vibrations to the payload would NOT have been survivable to a crew.... That's how harsh a ride they can be.

This is how it looked to my iPhone from about 90 miles away in central Florida yesterday, 6 and then 8 minutes after liftoff. My heart was aflutter! So glad to see the successful docking this morning. Old Fogette
