I'm sure many have found this, but a few years back I stumbled on this app when I was looking to de-dupe photos and music.
It's free, fast and does a great job especially when snaps are involved.

This is uncanny. I went searching the App Store last week for a dupe finder.
I settled on Compare Folders.

Did the job exactly & quickly as I needed. It too is free. Don't remember seeing
DFF in my search.

This is a function that any OS should have. Of course it is in UNIX, so if
you're a Terminal geek you could accomplish the feat (find command)!
