Ironic, the image stabilizer unit is audibly buzzing and moving the lens elements in a way that destabilizes the images and video recording. Looks like I need a replacement for my 6s Plus. Was hoping to wait until the next iPhones came out to pick up a reduced price 11.

pRICE, my 6S+ was doing that back in May. I powered it off, gave the lens & sensor a
thorough cleaning, & then tapped the camera side edge a couple of taps in my palm, non-scientific but safer than a maul!
Plugged in to charger & powered on. Problem gone and has not reappeared.

Yeah, I tried something similar. It keeps destabilizing. From what I read on the net, it is a known problem for some 6S Plus. Probably a sign to move on to a 2 lens camera.

Fascinating, my 6S plus was doing this as well late last year. Never fixed it, replaced it with a new 11 Pro Max.

is there a software setting to turn stabilization off, like you can do in almost all DSLR and P&S Cameras?
