So I got my son an iPad so he can communicate with his kids. That was an earlier thread.

So I've looked on amazon for cases. Kid friendly, drop resistant, yada yada.

Holy smokes! Where do I begin? There are so many of them. Overwhelming. Can't form long sentences.

Any cases y'all like? Rugged, screen or no screen protectors. I'd like to know!

We have tried a bunch, and in the end, the basic $15 cases have worked the best and been the most functional.

the covers are grippy, fold into stands, and whole back is protected from scratches or what not. No real extra weight. Just does what its supposted to do.

Wow. Ok. I was looking at bombproof cases. I basically have that same case for my iPad 3rd generation, which he is currently using. I will look into this. Thanks.

Maybe I read it wrong? You said your “son” to talk to his “kids” so figured your son must be old enough to have kids that can talk to him... late 20s?

We put Little M's iPad Mini 2 into an HDE bumper case. Bought the one with the built-in screen cover. Ended up pulling the screencover off. Its just like this now:

Should've bought the model without the screen cover in the first place. Easy enough to buy a separate screen cover and install it and then put it back in the HDE case.
