Filliam,
Wonder if that's as much due to the enclosure or the computer not dissipating heat properly as it is from he drive itself. That's why I'm purchasing enclosures that have excellent heat dissipation and/or fans. They're pricier than other M.2 boxes but worth the expense if it helps ensure the longevity of the drive.
Since boxes with fans are now available, they had to have been in development for a reasonable amount of time. I was surprised OWC's new T-bolt 3 enclosure doesn't have a fan. If manufacturers can do it for USB 3.1 Gen 2 boxes, surely OWC could have built one into its new t-3 box.
FWIW, I'm not a fan of Adata SSDs. Had one fail and Adata made it unnecessarily difficult to get it replaced under warranty. Had to bring it to shop to have it confirmed problematic and include the report with the receipt. They wouldn't accept screen shots from SMART Utility that I sent to them. The shop used SMART utility, did near identical screen shots, and provided me a written report. That ADATA accepted.
Cost me time and a small amount of bucks. Saved quite a bit, though, so it worked out for th best. I won't buy Adata products because of the unnecessary agita.
