I've been using a Kasa smartplug. the big oval one, and a Kasa mini plug for awhile, and aside from not being HomeKit compatible, they work well, and weren't too expensive.

I think I got them both, at different times, with an AMZ purchase for $5 extra.

The mini three-pack mentioned recently was an instant purchase.

Set up on these is typical and easy.

I don't set them up for remote control (read: over the Internet) so that simplifies things.

I especially don't like setting up accounts to do so with vendors.

Well with one exception, perhaps.

I love these Jolly Ranch Gummies, and will enjoy all 5lbs worth.

They don't have the tart kick of the hard candy, of which I'm not a fan, anyway.

The store bought version of these is unfamilar to me so I have no basis for comparison.

These are tasty, and don't make my taste buds cringe with the tart taste.

It's that weird feeling I get at the back of my jaw on either side when my taste buds scream 'What did we ever do to you?'

My biggest use of smart plugs is at Christmas. There's nothing better than having decorations all over your house that can be turned on with one click. And since I have all my Smartthings devices connected to my Echos, I just say "Alexa, turn on Christmas."
