.....Finally, there’s some sweet news for New Yorkers in very unsavory times.

Krispy Kreme’s long-in-progress Times Square flagship shop will open Sept. 15, boasting offbeat experiences like a “glazed waterfall” and serving up fresh, hot Original Glazed doughnuts 24 hours a day either in-store or via the pick-up window.

In addition to the “largest and iconic glazed waterfall for spectators to watch doughnuts run through,” the 4,500 square-foot sweets shop will offer other immersive areas like “the world’s largest Hot Light,” which signals to sugar fiends that goodies are being churned out fresh; a giant Krispy Kreme takeout box with stadium?style seating; New York City and Times Square-specific merch; and a “Big Apple” doughnut you can only score at this location.....


donut.....heaven.......but.....don't go.....chasing.....waterfalls........?!

I am not a big fan - they are OK fresh and hot, but prefer many other brands.

When they opened up around here there were lines around the block and backing up onto the freeway for the drive-thru.

I'd rather have a day-old slice of Domino's pizza left out overnight in the box, than a fresh, hot Krispy Kreme of any variety.

Full disclosure: there's never a slice of pizza, Domino's (which is very ok with me) or otherwise, left out or left over to become day-old.

I love Krispy Kreme, just the regular glazed, fresh. They are so light and fluffy, instead of bready and doughy. They almost pop in your mouth.

When the first one opened in SA, the line snaked and snake. I asked the rent-a-cop how long the wait was.
"Hour, hour and half"

I was planning on taking the wife and kids for a drive. So I pulled out of the parking lot and drove to the South Austin Krispy Kreme.

About an hour later, we were eating some hot fresh donuts
