Truman was prez, no Intel Mac yet, fastest Mac is 2.3GHz dual core G5...

will snag a 15" MBP before summer to break Intel virginity.

Sometimes it is what it is...
and then there's times when it's really better.

Tricky Dick.

No Intel Macs in the house. Still waiting for that mythical $1,200-1,500 midrange tower to slot in between the iMac and the Mac Pro. Suspect it's gonna be a while. sad smiley

Want a Mac Pro but to be honest; the Dual G5 2.0 does a great job.

him carry me, and yet assure myself and others

I was born in Malta, and have no idea who was in charge (or is now).

How is this related to intel macs?

"In science it often happens that scientists say, 'You know that's a really good argument; my position is mistaken,' and then they would actually change their minds and you never hear that old view from them again. They really do it. It doesn't happen as often as it should, because scientists are human and change is sometimes painful. But it happens every day. I cannot recall the last time something like that happened in politics or religion." (1987) -- Carl Sagan

Born a couple weeks after that stamp was issued (for the philatelist(s) here)

No Intel yet - waiting for Leopard to ship, then I'll take the plunge...

As an aside - I had no idea the demographics of this place ran so...uhhh...towards the life-experienced. I thought I was an old coot compared to the rest of ya, but now that illusion has been shattered...

And I see an Intel mac in my immediate future.

24" iMac? Perhaps. (Unless that 30" iMac is released!)

No Intel Mac, yet. A MBP 15"er is in my near future, however.

Ike, first term, no Intel Mac ... yet.

Mine are a Quicksilver 867 and PB G4 133 12 inch
My wife's is an Emac (1 ghz?)
My son's is an iBook G4 133 12 inch

Yes, I deserve a new desktop Mac, but my teenage son is recently heavy into Final Cut movie making and bugging me for more power and a bigger screen.

Edited to note that the night I was born my brother had to go to grandma's house and missed watching Rin Tin Tin on TV. He's never forgiven me and I've never cared.
