Does the world really need another image format?

yeah, dunno wtf its all about.

photoshop doesn't even officially support it. I had to add a 3rd party extension.

I would gladly give adobe $100 to allow me to remove all the options except the ones I need when saving files. same with "save to web". How many formats are *really necessary*... ugh

It really seems like the very definition of a solution looking for a problem.

It might have been worthwhile 20 years ago when lots of people were still on dial up.

yeah. Ive got a web content guy like that. Always asking me to "save files for the web" and at a 50% reduction.

ugh.

He did some sort of "space saving deletion of files" -- thousands of photos on a photo based site... couldnt have been more than a few GB. again, ugh. what for.

worst part is the "audience" for the sites -- all super rich people and real estate agents. not ma and pa kettle with dialup.

He cant shake the "past".
