CONTACTING AMAZON

I just received an item I didn't order. It is addressed to me, so the carrier did not make a mistake.

This is the second one of the same item I received. I think is a replacement for someone because it came without a power supply but needs that to function.

I am driving myself crazy trying to find a phone number to call Amazon. Some Amazon customer out there is pissed because his replacement unit is still AWOL and I keep getting them.

Does anyone have an Amazon phone number I can use?

Or you could just go to your account Customer Service >> Returns and send them a message?

First thing the page asks is, "Which order?" and present you a list of YOUR OWN orders... Won't get past that if you're reporting a mis-delivered someone-elses order.

It gives both the phone and chat options. I tend to use chat because then I have a copy of the conversation if questions arise later.

There is a good chance you are a victim of a "Brushing Scam." Retailers ship cheap products so they can validate through the Bez-azon system that you received the product and generate a fake review for you.

This isnt necessarily true. I recently had a loooooong chat about getting my daughter access to my prime account. It went on for months. I could always go back to reference previous chat sessions. Until one day...I couldn’t. They were gone. There were bits of chat about other things that bookended the main conversation but now they just appeared one after the other. My main issue was gone. After googling some I realized this is fairly common. Push an issue? Your problem might disappear. Literally.

While it’s fine if it’s stuff like returns I guess but now I’ve taken to screen capturing the conversation just to prove the conversation actually happened.

I reached a HUMAN at Amazon at: 888-802-3080 earlier this week. She had a heavy Filipino accent so, it might be an "offshore" call center.

Filliam,

Not the case here. This item is part of a kit, and requires a. power brick. It is useless without the rest of the kit. I'm quite sure it was mailed out as a replacement, but just sent to the wrong customer, twice.

jdc,

I don't have a legitimate order number and cannot proceed without one.
