This is what you get with an authoritarian dictator in charge fleecing the country for the benefit of him and his cronies.

The Russian people need to revolt, but of course they won’t because they’re kept dumb, brainwashed and suppressed through control of the media, the Internet, no freedoms of any kind. It’s a shame, such a great people with so much potential....

I agree. I've met quite a few Russians and they seem to be very down to earth and friendly people. And love to drink... Putin rules with an iron fist, stomps down on any dissonance in quick order. Journalists "falling" out of 5 story windows, political opponents poisoned - that's just the tip of the iceberg.
