Difficulty with Preview dimensions

Have been using Apple's Preview on iMac for a while; it has been dependable. It's no Photoshop, but for basic editing it's good.

Lately, though, the printed image does not match the size set in Tools, Adjust Size.

Probably doing something wrong.

Any ideas??

The first thing I do in such cases is check my printer settings to see if something changed.

I think I will just put an OUT OF ORDER
sticker on my head and call it a day.
