I’m looking at getting one of these for myself. However, battery life is important, so when you have time, could you see if it is possible to turn off the “always on” face? I don’t need it on all the time and I don’t mind having to tap it to get info from it, but having to charge it religiously is getting tiring. Also, if I get a cellular model for Mom it needs to last a while longer than 24 hours.

Thanks

Diana

They're selling the 6 SE Watch, which is the same thing without the "Always On", the ECG and Blood Oxygen features.

Yes, you can turn the always on face off. After setting up and loading apps, it's one of the first things that I did.

Huge step up from a Series 1. Haven't been successful in taking an O2 reading yet. Everything else seems to be working well.

The SE is really more of a revised S4.

Thanks, but I need fall detection; ECG caught my heart issues and so I think I’ll keep it. I have a S4 and the only reason I would upgrade is to get the blood oxygen. So it looks like an upgrade is in my future.

Edit: A quick check of the Apple website shows that the SE does not have ECG and not the blood oxygen function.

Edit2: oh yes, jealous LEADER !!!!

Was thinking about getting a 6 but not having improved battery life killed the deal for me
Currently have a Fitbit hr. I like the sleep program and the 5 to 7 day battery life. the stairs tracking use to be good but now it count a set of stirs based on elevation so it thinks I am climbing 50 to 60 flights of stairs per day
I think the 6 will get diabetes app to work with the Freestyle Libre 2 glucose sensor when Abbott get the FDA approval for the Libre 2 app

it was never going to get that. and the 7/8 wont get much more than the 4/5/6 either.

But its far far far far more than just a fitness tracker. My wife easily gets a couple of full days on her 5... but really doesnt "use" it a lot. Meaning not a lot of texiting, or calls, or maps, or apps running constanntly.

Similar to the fact I can get several days out of my iPhone OG SE -- but no emails, no photo/video taking or watching, no games, few apps. My teenager gets a single day on her Xr, with double the battery cause tiktock, IG, you tube, spotify, google searches, mesagging, etc all day.

Been wearing it almost 12 hrs. Battery is at 71%. It wasn’t fully charged when I put it on - roughly 98%.

Yeah... I hear ya. If they were a little more user friendly, I would consider it. Loved my "candy bar" Sony Slider back in the day.

Its why I still have my OG SE. Had a 4, and was dreading the 6 cause it was HUGE. REALLY love the new razer flip phone form factor... but sooooo expensive.
