Louis Prima And Keely Smith - Old Black Magic

I've been on a Louis Prima/Keely Smith kick lately and while diving deep into the depths of YouTube I stumbled across this gem.

Holy smokes! Compared to other videos of the two, which all seem to be B&W with terrible quality, this one really gets me! Color and good quality. I'm not sure what program it's from, but I love it!

Some say this is one of the earliest color videotape recordings in existence.

I love how Keely mocks Loius moves during the performance. smiley-laughing001

Imagine the gear needed to record and play that, at the time.

And somebody got a dupe of that to upload.

Keely Smith had that rare quality of a singer – a musical voice like a pure sine wave.

I remember seeing them on TV once in awhile, and Black Magic was a huge song back then.

She was a truly great singer and performer.
