This dirt cheap dual monitor stand is making my life so much easier!

My monitors have been too low for the longest time. I KNOW it's bad, but it was one of those things that 'can wait until later'. I put stuff under them, but a 27" monitor jacked up on a 6-8in pile of books just isn't right either.

I FINALLY got the itch to deal with it - get me a real monitor stand. But a simple monitor stand in my mind should be pretty cheap. That's not what the retailers I ran across thought. $50-$200 seemed to be the norm, but I arranged a search on eBay and sorted by cheapest and found something that looked good.

Who the hell knows for sure... little pictures of computer generated office scenes doesn't tell you much, but the specs were just what I was wanting - and it was only $14 + shipping (came to $21 with tax and shipping).

my desk is still a mess, but it's a better mess now...

I have a slightly wider version for two monitors and a laptop. Works well.

Your right monitor is a bit too high, I'd suggest Prisoner of Azkaban or even Philosopher's Stone.

Much better than my setup: I have one monitor on a swivel arm attached to the desk, and the other monitor on the floor.

Wonderful that you have 2 staplers!smiley-gen081

Seriously, I'm really thinking about moving to a second monitor now. I'd want to have zoom on one and ppt. in screen sharing on the second. Afraid to make the plunge.

do it, you will never be able to go back.

Ive been running duals since my 9600/350 days, and 3 since 2012ish.

heres my temp setup on a basic $59 ikea corner desk... it fits fine... my full desk is in storage until our house is done)..

Zoom is so much better with multiple monitors!

I actually dropped my 3rd monitor a while back when I moved and my new deskspace was really cramped. The 3rd was a 20" oriented vertically. I thought I give it a go without and it went fine. Happy with just 2 HUGE monitors now :-)

and I'll get the two balanced eventually - the pic was taken the moment I had a usable setup.

Been using a Monoprice dual for ages, before the co. was sold! (Much lower price too!)
Holds 2x LG24's securely.

Our sponsor sells an excellent riser (link; I've a couple) but I've also found a 500 or 750 sheet ream of paper lifts to a good height. It's cheap and, bonus, you have an emergency pack of paper on hand.

(BTW, it's spelled < y'all >.)

If I do this, will I then have to read the books currently elevating those screens? That could be deal breaker.

So what brand of Coffee Lite do you drink that requires an aquarium stone to hold it down?

They are not cheap*, but until I went with a 60" 4K TV as my main display, the best I used were Ergotron. [www.amazon.com]

* 1/6th the price of the Apple display stand.

Looks nice, but the highest I could raise my monitors is about 4.5" because of the hutch on my desk. I've got two 27" 4K monitors, just sitting on the desk. Haven't really noticed an issue with their height though.

It's the setup a 15 year old boy would dream of. Well done indeed!
