replacement folding doors with more insulation?

I have a set of two opposing folding doors in a closet. they are typically cheap construction and wood and have a gap at the floor.

does anyone here know of better replacements or has anyone made an effort at making their own? i'm looking for better r-value and sound insulation.

"can't be that hard," he says.....

are you worried about your clothes hearing you "do it"? It isn't so much that they doors are cheap and hollow, it has to do with the gaps letting the sound through/past.

Hiding in the closet won't work, get a pin-hole camera.

Closet doors aren't usually needed to be cold and air tight.
Maybe room divider doors. They're usually glass.
You'll have to remember to open one first before the other due to the stops .(and maybe seals). They're usually not air-tight, either (no seals).
Your clothes will see you.

that's what i get for not explaining myself.

it's a closet with the w/d and the air vent from the outside makes it a bit drafty (partially the fault of a not-so-great closure on the vent, but no mattter, it's still drafty).

Ah,

how about a better dryer vent ?

They make one that points up (outside) like a chimney, with some sort of horizontal flap inside that's supposed to work pretty good.

Kinda like putting a tennis ball on top of a two inch pipe.

My sister's bf put one of these to replace a flapper thingy that never really closed all the way outside, on her house.
Clothes used to be ice cold within minutes of the 'done' timer going off. (un-dry clothes were actually icy once)
Kinda weird looking , looks sorta like this: (best pic I could find)

Best thing I ever did for the same problem in my laundry room was remove it completely.
(electric dryer)

Edit: Um, that would be remove the exhaust vent, not the dryer.

Do you keep the doors open when the dryer is in use? If not, the doors shouldn't be sealed tight because the dryer needs to take in air to work properly.
