Can you convert the "try me" version of Lightroom into a paid full version later?

I've got Lightroom on order (actually been on pre-order since late Jan) but while LR is officially shipping, Amazon is telling me not to expect mine until the 1st week of March.

So I'm wondering if I can d/l the trial version Adobe has and just type in my serial # when I get my copy and be done. Or is the trial version, just that...crippled features and serial # input area locked up to prevent hacking.

Anyone know?

No Adobe software has worked that way in the past, and with serial and activation probably required, my guess is no.

Adobes' trial software has been the cause of many problems when running it along with a full version as well. Remove thoroughly before the full install.

Oh well. I haven't bothered to d/l it yet since I didn't know if it was upgradable. Guess I'll just wait for my copy to arrive. Thnx for the info.

The trial version is a full feature edition and you can purchase a serial number direct from Adobe from the start-up screen of Lightroom. This is the route I took and all features of Lightroom work just fine. (so far)?
