Sometimes being old and gimpy pays off, though my iPXr is in a Lander Moab case w/ a lanyard, is kept in a holster attached to my belly bag's strap when not in use, and has led a much more peaceful life.

My SE 2020 is in an Otterbox Defender in a holster. I added a do-it-yourself lanyard to the holster and clip it to my belt loop. At least a dozen times (including today) I move in such a way that the holster and phone slip off my belt and are caught by the lanyard. I don't imagine it would have broken if it fell and I've always felt it come off my belt but it's nice to have a simple lanyard on the holster.
