I've ordered an S6 with the 10% discount online.
It appears to me that ID.me initially verifies and establishes eligibility for the
Veterans and Military Purchase Program, and then Apple confirms that eligibility each time one accesses the program.
So, log into ID.me, then allow them to share one's verification with Apple.
It would be a tick smoother if we didn't need to authorize ID.me to share that info each time, but for a 10% discount, I'll deal with it.
I didn't notice anything that implied or stated it was online only so that's interesting, and good to know.

Add the 3% discount for using Apple Pay and it beats B&H's PayBoo deal on Apple kit, or anything from the Apple Store.
I wish the program were available in the store, but I find it enough, and honestly somewhat touching that Apple acknowledges service past and present.
Likewise, I also appreciate the mandate for the USPS to fly the POW-MIA flag along with the US flag.

You and I have memories longer than the road that stretches out ahead.
There is no safety for honest men except
by believing all possible evil of evil men.
We don’t do focus groups. They just ensure that you don’t offend anyone, and produce bland inoffensive products. —Sir Jonathan Ive

And hope is a lousy defense.
You make me pull, I'll put you down.
Mister, that's a ten-gallon hat on a twenty-gallon head.
