MR Forum Fit Club

To encourage fitness goals, share experiences, educate and uplift each other.

Got in two bike rides in the 6 mile range and three upper body workouts. Food and sugar intake was moderate.

Got a few mile and a half to two mile walks in but because of the company I keep, they were slow going.

Still doing personal training via FaceTime. My trainer is in the gym every day and has not gotten sick so that is a sign that it is safe, but counts in the area are up so I am not quite ready to go to the gym.

Have a couple of interruptions from cataract eye surgery which essentially means no heavy exertion for the month of October and into November.

Put in 6 rides for 190 miles and 12k' of elevation gain, longest 56 miles, most gain 4700'.

Still a few pounds outside the 'normal' range for my height, but at least now more of that weight is muscle instead of just beer belly.

0 upper body workout. I just can't get motivated to sit and workout. Ride, hike, no problem. 10 minutes lifting weights is just pure boredom hell.

Another skipped day this week, only 2.9 mi/day average. It would appear my resolve is wavering a bit after 7 pretty consistent months.

I've resolved to go back to the gym this week. I have got to get the motivation to train, but also to go inside for the first time since.. well, before the pandemic by about 5 months... so almost a year, yikes.

19.9 miles of mostly walking with just enough jogging for my muscles to remember how it’s done. This week will be less because of snow - it snowed all day today and we are supposed to get 5” more tomorrow. It’ll be a wet snow and I hate getting my walking shoes soaking wet. My wife says it’s time to get on my treadmill again.

LOL, yes, my post was poorly worded. She did try it for about half a minute and then decided she preferred our elliptical. I can walk for hours on my treadmill-desktop at a leisurely 2 MPH, watching TV and using my 17” MBP.
