I need to download about twenty or so YouTube videos for a project.

What is the easiest way to do this?

I use ClipGrab.

I don't know about other downloaders. but the ClipGrab folks are very quick to push out an updated when YT throws in a hitch to our gitalong.

It's donationware.


Does 4K Video Downloader actually download 4K video from YT?

And what's up with their privacy policy and requiring one's email?

I used this extensively last year for a class I taught, where wifi access was unreliable. Highly recommend.

I use ClipGrab as well but when that fails I switch to Video DownloadHelper with Firefox.

Used to use ClipGrab, but I had to upgrade it constantly because it would fail a lot. I was using JDownloader2 for downloading on another site when I happened to copy a link on YouTube with the intention of pasting the link in ClipGrap. JDownloader2's Link Grabbing feature took over (a pop up came up saying the link was copied), and lo and behold, I was able to download both the video, and a separate audio-only track. I now only use JDownloader2.

I like ClipGrab b/c it lets you download the original size, or just the audio from the original source.

Good to have a backup though, I have used MacX Video Downloader in the past.

I use this as well. Also good for downloading audio portion of YouTube videos.
