AirPods Pro: My ears did not pass the test?

Tried all 3 sizes, each produced a result to “adjust or try” a different size. As far as I’m aware my auditory anatomy is not unusual.

I do know that the Medium size lets them fall out; I’m currently trying the smaller set.

Make sure you push them in and maybe a slight twisting motion--the need to compress in the ear opening.

I would also guess that you just need to adjust them so they have a tighter seal. They do sit differently than the old AirPods, and it took me a good bit of time getting them in the right position.

But, I do love the sound, especially when watching TV on my iPad or even on my TV (via my appleTv). I think the sound in those situations is great!

Bose has some competitively priced ANC buds as well.

I have tested the Sony ANC wireless in-ear, AirPod Pros and the latest Bose as a direct comparison (for work, actually). Helpful for my own decisions, tho.

The Bose have the best ANC and sound, but the APPs are the easiest to use with iPhones/Macs. The case for the Bose is more than twice the size of the APP, which is not a deal-breaker for me but could be an issue for some.

The Sony work better with Android, but they are the largest and least best fit in my ears.

One down, one to go.

I had the same problem with the AirPods Pro.

the need to compress in the ear opening.

Yes, that's the purpose of the AirPods test.

If there's not a good seal, the ANC won't work properly.

I've worn all manner of earbuds, and know how to insert them properly, and even when I got a good seal, it didn't last, and really made my ears sore.

It works again. It was completely submerged between 5-10 seconds but perhaps live to tell the tale.

I'll need to not only be more careful but will also investigate some of the alternative earpieces. I think I heard Comply was supposed to be good. [www.complyfoam.com]
