Arthur Tussik

He's methodical and thorough, though I don't know that I'd want a rebuild.

He has the skills but not the knowledge or care on how to do it correctly. That car should be in a junk yard, not out on the road, but if you are going to repair something hit that hard he should be using a frame rack and precision measuring devices. Not a puller and a tape measure. I also didn't see him use any anti-corrosion/rust spray on the INSIDE of the panels he was welding. That car is going to rust from the inside out on all those welds.

Those replacement doors should have been stripped and painted before installing them since they are the wrong color. You are going to see blue from the inside.

He has great metal working skills but so many parts in a modern vehicle lose a huge amount of design strength when they have been crumpled once. That car originally passed the IIHS Frontal Offset crash test with good ratings, it likely would not after the repairs.

He does all the things you mentioned: frame rack, precise measurements, spray, etc.

I think he has the smarts to have the doors painted before installing them.

He operates somewhere around Russia, so their standards are a little looser than ours, for sure.

.this

No amount of hammering & welding is going to return the structural strength to
a piece of pressure formed metal alloy.
Just my opinion but that Lexus would have a scrap title in the USA.

lives are less precious in Russia. Also labor is cheaper.

This would not be safe or economical in USA.

I've one has ever handled or shot a Kalashnikov of original manufacture, the preferred weapon of the enemy, they'd know that precision was not a major criteria in their manufacture.

Yet they still managed to be very effective.

So maybe I don't want that guy in the video doing any work on my car.

But in Russia...

Not to mention, I see 'rebuilding' as something of an understatement.
