Don't be like me most years and wonder why the post times are all wonky until March when they magically fix themselves.

Never knew that. Thanks. A minor thing but nice to know.

Just discovered the tiny, gray "Submit" button at the bottom. Wondered why the time didn't change.

I kind of like the messed up post-times. It's quirky.

You may need to do the same with other forum sites as well. With politicians mucking around with the dates for DST in various points around the globe, some software developers just stopped trying to do the change automatically. Easier to just code a switch that a person could change, they would know when their local time changed from DST and back.

Oops. I had forgotten to change it last spring. :-)

For so many things online having the clock be off by an hour just doesn't matter that much.

I am reminded of this being an option by signing into a web based multi-player game I play. People have accounts around the world, but they base the game clock off Eastern Time in the US. If they left the clock at EST or EDT all year round it would be better. But instead every change in the Fall and Spring brings a certain amount of chaos. For example, today some activities have started or ended an hour early as compared to game time. Other activities have run on time, and later in the day more will be like this. From prior experience they will get it straightened out in a few days, though this Fall may be different as they have let some of the support staff go in April due to COVID.

Never noticed that because I don't look at post times.

I think I will just put an OUT OF ORDER

You are now committed to reminding everyone to turn it back on next Spring
