Doing some video work and I bought a lavalier type mike ( iRig Mic Lav is the brand) with a 3.5mm mount. GP has a USB-C connection so I got a GoPro 3.5mm to USB-C connector.

Something isn't working because the GP is not picking up any sound from the mike. When I play back the test I hear nothing at all, not even a hiss.

I've tried various Settings in the GP for audio input. The mike itself has a switch that, from what I read in the manual, is in the correct position.

What am I doing wrong?

Sound preferences pane in System Preferences.
Should allow you to select the input device and do level testing, as well as output device (and system sounds).

Sorry, no GoPro here.
