The Black Donnelly's not bad at all

Saw most of it in it's bow Monday night. Noticed that iTunes has episode 1 available fo' free. This is Paul Haggis' show by the way.

Formulated. Nothing there I hadn't seen before in other vehicles. On the other hand, I grew up with these guys, in Boston not NY. The character portrayals are not that far off.

I'd much rather been watching Studio 60.

I think bought one season only, so far.
ratings stink though and NBC has a huge production arm to draw from, so I'd be surprised if it makes it back for a 2nd season.
After all, Mr Donaghe is a pretty good representation of NBC execs.

Saw the commercial, but not the show. From the commercial I figured the show is set in Southie -- guess I was wrong.
