Beer for Breakfast

Move over PBR, Bud Lite, and Coors. There is a new bad beer in town and it comes from the Southern Interstate Exit staple - Waffle House.

To make it a true Waffle House experience the beer will smell like Bacon.

believe it or not, when I was young I saw relatives slaughter the pig a few days before Christmas and they would start the day with a shot of Palinka at 7 AM to protect them from the cold and they would keep drinking all day long as long as they were roasting the pig outside and then later making sausage inside.

There's a theory that the advent of coffee led to the enlightenment. It used to be that a weak beer/ale was consumed all day because potable water wasn't available. The beer was mildly alcoholic. When coffee became fashionable not only were people stimulated rather than sedated, but they were incidentally killing pathogens in the water. They were healthy and awake, a potent combination.

You can't drink all day if you don't start at midnight. Just saying.

On our mountain biking/camping adventures these are commonly swilled with bacon and eggs at breakfast before a day of riding (also at the end of a day of riding [and occasionally...during a day of riding])

One of the perks of not having to drive around in the morning anymore. Nothin' wrong with that.
