The Wago connectors are not meant to replace wire nuts.
Comparing them to crimp connectors or wire nuts, is nuts.
Or apples to oranges.
There will be instances where you can use needle nose pliers to tighten a machine nut, or a metric spanner on a standard nut or bolt, but one wants to use the right tool for the job.
Replacing like for like, when somebody has done the job correctly, is definitely the way to go.
I'm no expert, but I don't think Wago designed their connectors for household wiring boxes.
They do what no wire nut or crimp can do, or do as well as the Wago.
They have been around for a very long time and work well.
If one is paranoid, or just a belt and suspenders man, then some tape could be wrapped around the Wago connectors, just like professionals
don't do with wire nuts.

all who would be called good
must suffer with him.

You and I have memories longer than the road that stretches out ahead.
There is no safety for honest men except
by believing all possible evil of evil men.
