One reason we purchased FireSticks is that the remote is excellent (the one with volume controls at least), and can be purchased for less than the price of these replacement AppleTV remotes.

We put ours in a case to give it asymmetry and to make it easier to hold. Also protects the glass track surface.

It’s the least favorite of our remotes compared with Amazon and Roku.

It is terrible. It doesn't take a swipe, then it swipes two things over.

If I couldn't use my iPhone as a remote, it would be gone.

I can use my old AppleTV remote - I will dig that up. I have on my list to buy a cheapy ($15) universal remote at Walmart that will supposedly work well.

I am using this with my Apple remote. Love it.
