They call this tracking?!?! It left the CITY OF INDUSTRY CA DISTRIBUTION CENTER at some indeterminate time today, and is now heading to some unnamed facility, who knows where. There also isn't any estimated date for delivery. Unbelievable.

The last 4 packages I received from USPS in the last two weeks went from "Ready for pickup" to mysteriously delivered. They all arrived a few days later than expected and with no tracking updates.

The USPS is currently a huge mess.

USPS has no skin in the game for the handoff packages from Fedex/UPS. Avoid using this service.

Easier said than done, I seldom know that Smartpost is being used until shipping has occurred. Retailers seem to have quickly figured out not to advertise that they use it.

And when tracking does work, it shows stuff you don't want to know.

That magazine I mentioned that shipped over a week ago from Sparks NV to Truckee? A 30 minute drive...first took a flight to Los Angeles, then 5 days later is now in San Francisco. I am guessing that it will go back to Reno as it's next stop.

So we're 8 days in on a 30 mile delivery....
