Peak Designs is developing a line of 'Phone cases that magnetically connect to a vast line of mounts, both powered or non-powered.

Theirs is a proprietary magnetic system that's also compatible with the MagSafe system.

The site has some great video of what the system encompasses.

BUT— it's a kickstarter project, and that gives me pause.

But, if it comes to fruition, it could be a terrific system, and I'd probably give up my Apple clear case for it.

Peak Design has been around for years. They tend to use Kickstarter for new products, such as their travel tripod that has gone on to be a huge success.

I wouldn't hesitate to support a Peak Design kickstarter.

Agreed. Peak Design is respected among camera bag makers and so on. Kickstarter just happens to be how they often fund projects.
