HomePod, anyone?

Bueller?

Thought I might pick one up to mess around with, considering the good reports I've seen on sound quality. Is it really as good as most say? I'm sorta picky.

Also, thought I might consider getting iTunes Match to wrangle my CD's. I probably won't be engaging many other functions. Unless there's something really cool.

Any thoughts, all knowing forumites?

Thanks, and happy Indigeous Day

the 'larger' home pods right, I have two of them.

The smaller are nice... and love the new intercom feature.

My kids rooms now have the HomePod minis.

I enjoy the full size HomePods in stereo - can't hear all the highs anymore, but appreciate the lows. smiling smiley

That's exactly my direction too, Wags—pulled the trigger on a HomePod mini and iTunes Match.

Just setup a stereo pair to default connect to my Apple TV.....only to find out it only works with the Apple TV 4K and not the AppleTV HD, so just had to spring for a 4K. The sound of the HomePods is really good for their size.

Got one HomePod a year or so ago on sale, mostly to augment the already-built-in speakers we have in our kitchen.

Current setup is a little fussy in terms of it coming on at the right time (it’s “headphone jack” for the wired speakers, plus “kitchen” in the menu bar widget). And the HomePod occasionally (and humorously) responds to the TV in the next room when a commercial includes the words “hey, siri”.

But the sound is quite good. And although I don’t think we’re making full use of it, it is (another) handy kitchen timer.
