The funny thing is, turkeys _can_ fly...at least wild ones - maybe not the domesticated ones.

When the wild ones began appearing in our neighborhood around 10 years ago, we’d occasionally see them at night in the trees, and we’d say, how the hell did they get there? since I knew from WKRP that they couldn’t fly.

Yeah, the “eating turkeys,” white ones bred for big breasts, can’t fly, but the wild turkeys fly pretty well.
